Read Yamin's awe-inspiring post @ http://mostpublicblogever.blogspot.com/.
Ping's slightly depressing post is just below his!

Ping has known Yamin for: 6 years since 2003
First impression of him: Alert, he's competition! [I was, and still am, right!]

Stories about Yamin:
He used to be the guy that tagged behind Azim, my competitor at that time. Was a laid-back person and maybe, he still is! Sat behind me in Form 1, because Azim was sitting on my right. Remembered him saying something about how porridge is good for the brains in Form 3.

Never notice him much before Form 4 because I thought he posed no treat to my class position. I was wrong: that guy surprised us all (particularly me) when he shot to the front in Form 4 - when I was still recovering from the shock of Azim's death (I only knew when school reopened again in Form 4).

Somehow become close to him and found out he's not a bad guy. Can be a bit arrogant at times but he's pretty much reliable when it comes to computers and maths. Laugh at the lamest things (most of the time, things I said).

Throughout the O level years I had a gut feeling that being the best in the school is very important to him, so I didn't work as hard as I should really had. Happy for him when he emerged as the best in SMBerakas for a long time, he actually beat the records (although I was a bit pissed that he beat KATO).

Was excited when he told me he was applying for the same scholarship as me: DANA Human Resource. Both of us were like :/ when Saidi told us he applied for the MoE scholarship, determined to be better than Saidi. Verdict: Saidi got his confirmation in April 08, I got mine in July 08, and he didn't get the scholarship. Found out later from Farhan Murni he F-ed up his interview and was quite mad - I even called him from UK to scold him!

Message for Yamin: don't be a nerd! Play hard, study hard!
I'm guilty for forgetting your birthday! Sorry!!!

Asobru minal Iman...:)

Assalamualaikum People! >.<

Alhamdulillah, at last I finished my exam and it was okay, not too easy and not too difficult the S1 paper was.Overall it made me smile and at the end of the day able to say to myself lets call it a day. Tomorrow would be usual school, but I am planning to reward myself a bit of relax tonight, since it remarked my success for AS year and time to look forward for A2 year.

Well, what's new updates? Nothing much ,except for a bit of stress for A2, because we have been starting to merge into our A2 course, and I would say it is pretty hard at first, but over time, I got a grip and marching forward with confidence. InsyaALLAH.

The only thing is Physics-whether I would drop it or not. For the time being, NO!
I just need a little more push for Physics, since the sillibus is pretty new and all.

Owh, cuaca sini, macam biasa saja. It's SUMMER and the weather at times will be unstable and keeps chaninging lately. We are allowed to wear summer dress already , without blazer and tie; still I wear them, since it was raining lately.

Wednesday will be a bit tiring I guess since it is a Citizenship day, where we get to be briefed about the UCAS and University thingy. Nevertheless, I am looking forward for it! This week gonna be like normal, but will be lot busier for next week. I got 2 Geo field trips, and 2 open days to attend to. Then, I will be just waiting the time to go back , to a place where you guys are now in:

My first GEO TRIP - Brampton Wood and River Ivel

Next will be in Cambridge

YES- you are right!

BRUNEI <3>

Will meet you people up soon! InsyaALLAH, my du'a for everyone of you.
Ilal Liqa!!! :)

I guess , I will make use of my relaxing time-

WAIT! I still got things to pack this week!

Because I dare.

I know Yamin won't even venture into the HTML territory where I rule. So I changed the layout. Just minor tweaks, so it is no longer overly green - Saidi we all know that's your favourite colour - or blue for the matter, because aside from the gradual change of sea colour from green to blue and how some artists mix em, blue and green just don't go together.

Next time, Saidi, just leave changing the layout to Ping.
Next layout update: 02/07/09

understanding desires

Posted Posted by P U R E in Comments 0 comments

Ping is back here again and today she is going to talk about desires.

Desire. Doogle defines this word as "...the feeling that accompanies an unsatisfied state...an inclination to want things". I personally have many desires, but my two main desires are: 1. to prove everyone wrong and 2. to make everyone sees the environment my view.

Of course there are those itty bitty desires that keep getting in my way. Like blogging, which have nothing to do with my main desires. It's just one of those things I keep scolding myself for doing but keep doing anyway. I admit I have a problem with managing my desires, which does not include sex, thank you very much, but I just couldn't bring myself to resolve it. After all, a person without one single desire is as good as dead.

For a girl who had been hurt in relationships before, I desire to find love, but at the same time afraid of the uncertain future. There is no such thing as forever, what I have, we all have, are the past and now. It is not good to make promises you can't keep.

I have came across many different people with many different desires, be it related to sexuality or not. The desire to do well in exams. The desire to eat ice-cream. The desire to get married. Countless desires under different conditions, realised or unrealised by our conscious minds. Whether we carry it out or we leave it be is up to us ourselves; it is our own decision.

At certain point in our life, we will come across this question: Have you ever regret anything/any decisions you had made in the past? I will thus be honest; my answer is yes. I have two major regrets, but I do know that dwelling on them is not going to help and the only thing I can do is deal with it and move on. Twice I had given in to these desires that I shouldn't had given in to and I don't want to make the same mistake again.

Concluding this post, I urge you to think seriously about the things you desire and wether they are important or not, are they worth taking a risk for? Will you benefit from them and if yes, is the benefits long term or short term? How are you going to deal with it if it goes horribly wrong? Is the statement desires are sins no longer apply in this era true, or is it not and we are just deillusioned it no longer does?

WAIT!

Assalamualaikum People! :)

Apa kabar kamu semua ne? Exam exam jua, stress tu jangan terlampau di layan. Bawa berehat jua, pandai-pandai urus masa ok! Anyways, hari ane hari ahad. So , basically, mau tau apa ada hari ahad?

Hari ahad mun di Bedford, seems to be boring jua. Tapi kan, sebenarnya inda. Kami ganya yang exxagerate bah! :P Mun waktu minggu sekulah, kami skulah bukan 5 hari, but 6 hari seminggu sekulah. But Selasa, Khamis half day, with sports in the afternoon, whereas Saturday is another half day with nothing in the afternoon. But good opportunity kalau kan sambung belajar di rumah.

Ahad is our life saver pulang tu. Sal iatah ganya hari cuti tu. Iatah ganya masanya kan webcam sama family. Kan panyap barang kah apa. Kan chatting berabis kah apa *not too much la*

My mum, being sarcastic "Nah, kau. Rasa kan tia, kau jua yang suka belajar jauh-jauh!" That shot straight into my brain and owh- I registered it as Mama inda mau liat anaknya ane lamah, and lembap. Ya mau anaknya ne kuat menghadapi situasi belajar jauh, and away from family!

Alhamdulillah, selalunya ahad, kami breakfast kul 9 di Dining Hall. Then lapas tu , either kami main game rah my Friends' boarding house (Burnaby) or either webcaming sama family. Then patang terasa berabis buring tu. Tapi kadang kami jalan. Ke Tesco yang jauh, or ke embankment jua yang jauh (it's kinda a park) or ke PC World , Comet, Curry's (kadai PC ne) which are very far far away. Or either Brunei? far far away in wonderland tuuuuu!

But then, yeah, it's the only time, we can also meet in town , sama other Bruneians di Bedford.
ARGH!!! I got to go then, it's webcamming time lah!

** days before Brunei people!!!! Not gonna tell you, but I asure my return soon! :P
